A Sample of Various Side Projects

We have a strict policy regarding the confidentially of client work at AquaSparkle. We've found that most clients prefer (some even demand) to not announce that they sought outside help and we respect that desire for distance. In lieu of a traditional corporate portfolio we've collected a few of the more notable in-house projects we're currently toying with in between client work. Most of these sites came to us as unfinished ideas and will need extensive work to meet our standards. We often review what we have on hand and sell off projects that have not held our interest. You can find these on our for sale page. In the meantime, take a peek into our world...

MangoFalls

Launched in April of 2005, MangoFalls is a photblog that offers fresh images every day of the week. Joe's a fan of photographic slides from the 50's and 60's and he thought it would be fun to share these with the world. We've seen the traffic to this site double every 2 weeks so the future looks bright although it's certainly never going to pay the mortgage. Sometimes taking a few days to work on something fun can renew your focus. MangoFalls was invited to join the 9Rules Network in June and then opted out of the network the following year after some changes took place that we did not care for. Over the years Mangofalls has been featured on Yahoo, Boing Boing, and the KIm Komando show. Enjoy viewing the The MangoFalls Image Project

Cassie Carlyle - Unsolved Case #19-34-772

This one was made for the pure fun of playing around in photoshop and CSS. This receives a lot of traffic from CSS gallery sites and was also a featured example on Design Meltdown which has quickly become one of our favorite reads. We'll warn you now. This page is huge and we just don't care because it swings. Hope you have a big monitor.

Practical Decisions

Here's one that was made for a family members consulting company. Our instructions were to make something simple and modest in awork corporate style. They seem happy with the result and we're pleased that it's valid XHTML and CSS. We've also helped them implement a series of outbound email campaigns to a constantly growing list of subscribers. Help With Baby

We took this site in trade many years ago and it soon became clear that the design was ripped and the content had been sold to numerous people. It was a hard lesson but after some time we decided to dith the baby name content and create a new theme for what is now a blog about loving, raising, and traveling with kids. Check out Help With Baby.

Disclaimer - We have a lengthy relationship with one of the biggest names in travel to European destinations. We have a strong commitment to this company and will not accept any clients that work in the travel sector.
